I decided to create crafty stuff to give my kids for Christmas this year. We did Dirty Santa last year and this year we are doing Secret Santa. Since the youngest three are 20 years old I feel good about alleviating a lot of stress on the need to buy for their siblings and their significant others. We did a $50 limit and said it can’t all be gift cards. So, some pressure, but much less than it has been.
I have 4 easy things for you to make for family or to give the hostess. You can get more creative than I have. I didn’t do any holiday packaging besides the gift bags.
Room Freshener
This is a spray bottle https://amzn.to/3Pz7LeN, isopropyl alcohol https://amzn.to/3hEd8gb, and distilled water which you can get pretty much anywhere. The baby isle has it at the Dollar General. I got fragrance from here-https://amzn.to/3FATSrL. I prefer 100% natural essential oils for mine. Any label will do. I printed my own.
Fill the bottle 1/4 with isopropyl alcohol
20 drops of orange essential oil
20 drops of tea tree essential oil
put on spray top and shake. I put a sticker on mine that says shake well before using. Here is a link to the labels https://amzn.to/3WtJd9i. Make sure you have plenty of ink for the printer.
Candles
I used soy wax that I could microwave https://amzn.to/3hCqBoA. This much wax made me 15 candles and 8 wax melts. I used the same essential oils. I got these frosted glasses https://amzn.to/3PzgqxO. The rose on the lid is a very nice touch. I used these wicks https://amzn.to/3Wq1lRp. Since I’m new to making candles I used https://amzn.to/3FC33bG to help hold my wick in place.
Melt wax in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Add 60 drops of Lavendar
Let it set.
All-Purpose Cleaner
For this I used Vinegar https://amzn.to/3hz92WF, distilled water from the local store and that essential oil. I used these https://amzn.to/3HLDRC1 glass is essential.
One cup Vinegar
One Cup Water
60 drops of each Rosemary, Orange, and Lemon
Shake and use.
Hair Serum
This was super simple. I used Rosemary and Peppermint as the essential oils. I got these https://amzn.to/3YsPcNv as my bottles. I used Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Avocado Oil I had in the pantry.
Fill the bottle and add 20 drops of the Rosemary and 20 drops of Peppermint.
Shake and it’s done!
I put them in gift bags and added some candy. Easy peasy.
